Sixty-Two: Ames News — delivered.

By Donald Crouse, Erosion Control Supervisor

Environmental awareness is a critical topic, and one that receives a lot of attention. To make a difference in our day-to-day work, we must be aware of potential problems and solutions.

Every Ames team member relates to some aspect of the environment we are engaged in. Can you answer the following questions with confidence? Are your answers aligned with Ames’ Environmental Management System (EMS)?

  • Have you received awareness training on Ames’ EMS and the significant environmental aspects in your work area?
  • Have you received training on your role and the responsibility to conform with Ames’ EMS and emergency preparedness and response?
  • Are you aware of the potential consequences of departure from your environmental work practices (environmental impact)?

Ames’ mission statement includes our commitment to work in harmony with nature. It is important to know how we can work in harmony with nature. Training and awareness are the first steps in ensuring that our clients are confident in our ability to deliver a job well done from start to finish.
