Ames offers opportunities for non-union employees to save for retirement!

The details

  • Non-union employees are eligible to participate in the 401k Retirement Savings Plan through Empower after 3 months of employment.
  • If an employee does not complete an enrollment form, they are automatically enrolled at 3% when eligible.
  • Ames matches 50% of the employee’s deferral on the first 3% of compensation.
  • Employees may defer via traditional pre-tax, Roth, or a combination of both.
  • The 2024 IRS contribution limit is $23,000. Employees age 50+ may contribute an additional $7,500.
  • Ames’ contributions are subject to a four-year vesting schedule.
