Curbing Burnout: Your Guide to Prevention and Early Intervention

Reports of burnout are increasingly common, but there’s a lot we can do to prevent it, enhance well-being at work, and ensure that our lives are more well-rounded and enriching. This workshop reviews the individual and organizational factors that can mitigate risk for burnout, as well as specific strategies for communicating more effectively at work, managing job-related stress, and preventing work from intruding at home and in our relationships with loved ones.

The Hike for Hope is an opportunity to join together and acknowledge the ways in which suicide and mental health conditions have affected our lives and the lives of those we care about. Ames is proud to be a Gold Sponsor for the event, which will raise awareness of mental health in the construction industry. Bring your friends and family!

In addition to the walk, there will be family-friendly activities, including a resource area, photo booth, children's activities, complimentary Honor Beads, and more.

Ames employees can access 10 complimentary coaching or therapy sessions per person per benefit year. In addition to these sessions, employees can access mindful breathing medications, on-demand courses, and virtual small-group listening and discussion sessions. Lyra is available to all Ames employees and their dependents.

NEW! Lyra now offers a virtual discussion series at no additional cost. Lyra Series will allow employees to be part of expert-led live discussions around a specific topic (for example, Managing Anxiety: Tools & Support) within a community cohort of peers all personally affected by the same topic. The series may be 1-6 sessions, depending on the topic. Register via the Library tab of your Lyra account!
