Brandon Kingsolver
Joined Ames: January 2025
Position: Project Manager, Huffaker Emergency Liner & Slope Repair Project, Washoe County, Nevada

While earning a bachelor’s degree in finance from California State University, Sacramento and as a student-athlete member of the CSUS golf team, Brandon Kingsolver worked every chance he had, picking up construction jobs and using his CDL to do heavy haul trucking to support his family.

After moving to Nevada in 2014, Brandon worked in the cement industry, where he discovered his passion for building. He also developed a network of professional relationships that included Seth Alexander, Ames VP of Operations-Western.

“Seth showcased how proud he was here at Ames and always spoke positively about his team and the work they do,” Brandon says. “This was important to me and ultimately why I decided to join the team.”

“Building things is great, but building things with high performers with high expectations regardless of their role is what makes me love my job here at Ames. The Reno Ames team is exceptional.”

One thing he loves about construction is getting to point out finished projects to his kids, especially when the memories he shares are brought to life by things they can see and touch.

When he’s not working, Brandon spends time with his wife of 21 years, Candace, and their children, Makenna, 12, Paisley, 10, and Rhett, 8. They stay busy with team sports, hunting, and completing a frame-off restoration of their 1967 Chevelle.
