Dayna Duffy’s career in the construction industry began when she was in her early 20s while working as a receptionist for a concrete cutting company in Arizona. As she learned more about the different areas of the industry, she took advantage of opportunities to move up the ladder.

Her career path shifted to project management while working at a public relations firm.

“I was able to work directly with municipalities, agencies, and contractors. This gave me the opportunity to be exposed to all aspects of a project, from kick-off to close-out. From there, I continued my education to get my degree in construction management. During that time, I got a job working for a civil contractor as a project coordinator, then project engineer and project manager.”

Dayna’s role at Ames is to establish relationships with local municipalities and agencies to build the JOC and CMAR work for the Arizona Municipal Group.

“I enjoy coming to work every day to do what I love for a living. Working in construction is all about working as a team, and being able to collaborate with my coworkers and create a positive atmosphere together is what gets me up in the morning.”

Outside of work, Dayna enjoys cooking, hiking, bike rides, traveling, remodeling her home (a never-ending project!), and most of all, spending time with her family. She has two adult daughters and a grandson.
