Payton Hennen joined Ames after finishing his education in Heavy Equipment Operations and Maintenance at Central Lakes College in Brainerd, Minnesota.

“Ames offers a really great opportunity for growth and experience,” he says. “Being new in this trade and seeing the different projects Ames does that most companies won’t do, I knew Ames was the right fit for me.”

Payton appreciates the family atmosphere at Ames, especially because he’s working in the Southeast Region—far from his home in Minnesota.

“It’s good to know that your coworkers will always be there for you when you need it. Everybody looks out for one another and helps each other out.”

When he’s not working, Payton enjoys fishing, hunting, traveling, and spending time with coworkers and friends.

Alaska. I am a big outdoorsman, and Alaska offers everything an outdoorsman could dream of.
