👋
Taylor Pearson
Joined Ames: 2023
Position: Paving Project Engineer, Western Office

Taylor Pearson grew up on a farm in Montana, which sparked his interest in large equipment and machinery and a career in heavy civil construction. After graduating from Montana Technical University in the spring of 2023, he was thrilled to accept a job offer from Ames.

He’s currently working at the Salt Lake City International Airport, where he’s been involved in terminal expansion, taxiway reconstruction, and deep foundations work. In early 2025, he will relocate to North Carolina to work on several projects at Charlotte Douglas International Airport, primarily focusing on concrete paving.

Taylor looks forward to coming to work every day because of his Ames coworkers, who have been genuinely invested in helping him succeed personally and professionally.

“People in the field have gone out of their way to ensure I fully understand the work and how it’s carried out. In the office, my managers and coworkers have provided valuable advice, strategies, and leadership to help me complete my tasks in the most efficient way possible.”

Taylor grew up hunting, fishing, and generally being outdoors with friends and family, and that’s how he still likes to spend his free time. “Salt Lake City has been a great place to spend time outside, and I am excited to move to North Carolina to explore that area.”
