Newly Awarded Project: Contract Crushing

Sixty-Two: Ames News — delivered.

Ames was recently awarded a project to mobilize and operate crushing operations at the Kennecott Copper Mine in Utah. The crushing operations are supplementing crushed ore material for the mine’s process.

Kennecott Copper Mine in Utah

Ames has mobilized three crushers and personnel that will operate 24/7 for the next couple of months. The project will produce more than 25,000 tons per day, crushing material to less than 8 inches, to supplement daily production goals for the owner.

The project adds to our long history at Kennecott. Ames performed its first mine modernization project at Kennecott in 1986, and we’ve never left, performing a wide range of mining construction projects to this day.
