Bill Newman started at Ames in 1990 as an equipment operator and finishes as a project superintendent. For about 17 years, he worked on and off on Cripple Creek mining projects in Colorado. The most challenging project he recalls was the Snowmass Base Village development because of the utility work, the challenge of working between buildings, and the coordination required with the resort developer.
Bill is proud of the work he did for Ames, and he appreciates everything the Ames family has done for him and and his Ames coworkers.
“And for current Ames employees, I hope they can carry on the tradition and keep the company going as it is and improve it.”
His retirement plans include traveling with his wife, Pam, who also worked for Ames for 13 years.
