Joined Ames: 2007
Position: Structures Superintendent, Rocky Mountain

Ed French was hired by Ames in 2007 as a structures superintendent in the Rocky Mountain Region and retired as one of the top structures people in Colorado.

Some of his most memorable jobs include Abo Canyon in New Mexico, I-70 in Colorado, and the massive Eagle P3 project. After initially retiring, he was happy to say “yes” to a request to return to Ames to help train people in Kansas City.

“Ames is a great company to work for, and my son and grandson both work here too. It became a family affair that we’ve all appreciated.”

Ed and his wife have retired to southwest Missouri, where he enjoys fishing and can spend more time on his woodworking projects.
