Greg Schluck

Oiler

Greg Schluck joined Ames in 1980, working out of the new (at the time) shop in Burnsville, Minnesota. It wasn’t long before he was told to get into a fuel truck, and he has worked as an oiler ever since.

He says that the BNSF Glasgow project in western North Dakota was his most exciting and memorable job, and he ends his career at the Greensboro-Randolph Megasite in North Carolina, the biggest project of his 43 years from the standpoint of people and earth moved.

In retirement, he’s looking forward to fishing in the summer and spending more time with family and friends, especially his wife, Mary, son Alec, and daughter Nicole.
