Jeff Pedersen

Equipment Operator

Jeff Pedersen retired in December after 38 years with Ames in the Midwest Region. Starting out as a laborer, Jeff became a full-time equipment operator in 1992. He ends his career on the Twin Ports Interchange project in Duluth, Minnesota.

Other projects that stand out for him include the Stillwater Bridge and the Dresbach Bridge because of the heights at which the work was performed. He also notes that his dad was part of the crew that performed the excavation for the Metrodome stadium in Minneapolis in the late 1970s, and he was briefly a part of the crew that demolished the Dome and performed site prep for the new U.S. Bank Stadium.

In retirement, he’s looking forward to visiting his children and a lot of fishing.
