Joined Ames: 2013
Position: Operator, Midwest

John Sinna was hired as a crane operator in 2013 when Ames started the I-35E MnPASS project that stretched from Little Canada into St. Paul, Minnesota. Although he ran other heavy equipment at times, he spent 95 percent of his time operating cranes.

An Ames project that stands out for John is the St. Croix Crossing extradosed bridge that spans the St. Croix River, where he operated a Manitowoc 16000 lattice-boom crawler crane.

“I want to thank Ames for giving me some of the best equipment available for the work that we needed to do. Ames is one heck of a family-oriented company, and I worked with a great bunch of people.”

In retirement, John is enjoying having more time to work on, build, and restore muscle cars and vintage (’72-’74) Speedway snowmobiles.
