Retired: Lynette Smith

In 1988, Lynette Smith answered a help wanted ad for a receptionist at Ames Construction. In the intervening years, she has been one of Ames’ most familiar faces and voices, greeting visitors to the corporate office and answering phone calls from vendors, clients, and business partners.

Highlights of the past 36 years include helping to plan annual company picnics and contributing to the Ames for Angel Golf Invitational benefitting families facing cancer.

“I have truly enjoyed working for such an amazing company and meeting a lot of great people,” she says.

Lynette is looking forward to spending more time with family and friends, especially her husband, Bob. They are planning fishing trips, travel, and doing things on their own schedule.
