Mark Rasmussen

As a boom truck driver, Mark Rasmussen was involved in so many Ames projects that it’s hard for him to single out just a few as favorites or most memorable. Some highlights from his 26 years at Ames include projects on I-35, the teardown of the Metrodome, site work for U.S. Bank Stadium, and the St. Croix Crossing Bridge at Stillwater, Minnesota. Of the latter project, he is especially proud of the beautiful results.

Mark also mentions “all the buddies I worked with” and says working for Ames was the best job he ever had.

“The Ames family treated me awesome. Ron, Butch, Dick—they were all great guys.”

After retiring, Mark moved to Arizona, where he plans to take it easy.
