Joined Ames: 2003
Position: Foreman, Midwest

Rick Turner joined Ames in 2003, and his first project—the Piedmont Avenue reconstruction project in Duluth, Minnesota—is one he is proud of to this day. “There was a lot of concrete poured, and that’s all visible. It’s all rockface formed, and it looks very impressive yet today.”

The Dresbach Bridge over the Mississippi River at La Crosse, Wisconsin, is another favorite because of the many methods and techniques Ames performed for the first time.

“I enjoyed my years at Ames. I was treated very well with a lot of respect. It’s an awesome company to work.”
