Joined Ames: 2011
Position: Project Safety Manager

When Steve Hendrickson was approached by Ames Construction to work on the Central Corridor Light Rail project in 2011, he rode his motorcycle to the site to check it out. “I can still remember the feeling as I looked at it of how I missed working in construction,” Steve says.

That was enough to get Steve on board as a project safety manager. He brought with him a long and varied resume of professional experiences, from construction inspection to teaching.

About a year later, Ames was opening its California office. With Steve’s son living in California, he decided to join the new location.

“I have enjoyed the opportunity to work with so many great, hard-working Ames employees. Ames has made me feel part of the Ames Construction family. I will miss working with everyone.”

Steve is looking forward to new adventures, from outdoor recreational activities to health and safety-related business ventures.
