Several team members have recently accepted new roles in the Southeast Region.
Harrison King
Harrison King joins the region as Vice President of Engineering. Harrison started at Ames in July 2014, and his first project was the St. Croix River Approach Design-Build project. He’s looking forward to working with and developing a new team that can build and spread Ames culture. “The thriving Southeast construction market is very exciting as it brings vast opportunities for Ames and our coworkers,” he says. Harrison is moving to the region with his wife, Elisabeth, 6-month-old twin daughters Savannah and Blaire, dogs Norman and Kevin, and cat Walter. “My family and I are looking forward to the mild winters compared to Minnesota. As a NASCAR fan, I’m excited about being in the heart of motorsports country.”
Jeff Fye
Jeff Fye has accepted the position of Southeast Region Chief Estimator. He’s looking forward to using his knowledge and experience to expand Ames’ area of operation in the region and working with the current team to develop and expand the estimating and engineering staff. “It is a new geographic region for me with some great opportunities for our typical Heavy-Highway projects and the more diverse specialty type projects,” he says. Jeff is also excited to explore new places and have experiences that aren’t available in Minnesota. A member of the Ames team since November 2017, Jeff is moving to North Carolina with his wife, Sandy, middle son, Brian, and two-year-old dog, Zara.
Sam Webster
Sam Webster joins the Southeast Region as Assistant Business Manager. An Ames team member since January 2023, Sam is looking forward to the expanded set of responsibilities that come with a new position and building relationships with new colleagues. “I am excited to join a new and growing region that has a young workforce,” he says. “Additionally, it is a part of the country that I have not spent much time in, so it will be fun to explore the area, especially the mountains and the ocean since they are both within 3-hour drives.”
