Cindy Wuddah grew up in a construction family—her dad owns a residential construction company in Ghana, where Cindy was born and raised.
“I’ve been around construction my entire life, and I’ve always known that this is what I wanted to do.”
Moving to Minnesota five years ago was a bigger leap of faith. She was still a teenager when she decided she wanted to build her life in a new place, and she came to Minnesota by herself. In December, she graduated from Minnesota State University, Mankato with a B.S. in construction management and a minor in business.
Cindy was drawn to work at Ames because she wanted the challenge of working on large projects.
“I love the opportunity to collaborate with a talented team to find innovative solutions. Knowing that my role contributes to solving problems and enhancing society gets me excited. I also like that I get to learn something new every day.”
Outside of work, Cindy loves to travel. “I enjoy seeing different places, experiencing different cultures, and being in my natural habitat (warmth!).”

What is your favorite meal or dessert?
First, dessert is before and after a meal. Crumbl cookies are my go-to. I have had them every single week for the past 9 months. My go-to meal is a creamy shrimp pasta!! Also, unpopular opinion: It’s cereal before milk!
